Add Direct URL Anchors for Individual Models
#235
by appvoid - opened
Hi there!
Just implemented and browser-tested a JavaScript-based model IDs assignation. Why? It allows organizations to share direct links to their models on the leaderboard, making it easier to showcase benchmark results, reference rankings, and improve model discoverability without requiring users to manually search through the leaderboard.
How it works
Every model automatically receives an ID based on its organization and model name. Spaces and special characters are converted to hyphens.
For example:
| Model | Generated ID |
|---|---|
| dotlabs / void.1 | dotlabs-void.1 |
| AxiomicLabs / GPT-X2-125M | axiomiclabs-gpt-x2-125m |
| OpenAI / GPT-2 Medium | openai-gpt-2-medium |
Changes
- Automatically generates unique, predictable HTML IDs using the
organization-modelnameformat. - Enables direct navigation to individual models through URL fragments.
- Supports dynamically rendered models without requiring manually assigned IDs.
- Handles models appearing in multiple sections without creating duplicate IDs.
- Preserves existing leaderboard functionality and design.
Example
https://axiomiclabs-open-slm-leaderboard.static.hf.space/#dotlabs-void.1
This link takes visitors directly to the corresponding model.
Compatibility
The implementation is JavaScript-based and requires no changes to the leaderboard's model data or existing styling.
