Kimi k2.5 is an excellent model. When paired with Kimi Code, it can rival the combination of Claude 4.5 Sonnet and Claude Code. However, Kimi Code’s current functionality feels a bit too bare-bones—it reminds me of the very first iteration of Claude Code. I hope Kimi will increase its investment and development focus on Kimi Code.
